Massage is a therapeutic practice that involves the manipulation of soft tissue in the body, typically muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. It is a hands-on technique performed by trained practitioners to promote relaxation, relieve tension, reduce stress and address specific physical issues.
There are numerous massage modalities and techniques, each with its own specific focus and benefits.
What we offer
Swedish/Relaxation Massage: This is a gentle technique of relaxing the muscles by using long flowing strokes, kneading and circular motions to promote overall relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension
Deep Tissue Massage: This Technique targets deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to address chronic muscle tension and knots and adhesions. It involves slower strokes with firmer pressure to release tension and alleviate pain.
Lymphatic: This is a light massage to increase the removal of waste out of the body that is stuck or unable to exit due to poor circulation. Gentle-flowing movements activate the lymph to flush the toxins and waste out of the body .
Hot Stone Massage: The therapist places warm stones on certain parts of the body to relax the muscles. They can be moved around to help to release tight muscles and to help the patient experience a deeper relaxation . Usually used in conjunction with a remedial massage.

Elena’s work was born from a personal search for balance and well-being. Her path led her to train internationally in holistic practices, with a strong focus on precise touch, attentive listening and a deep respect for the body’s natural rhythms.

Thad wong
Hailing from Brooklyn, NY where he ran a busy Tui Na and Internal Arts practice, Thad arrived in Sydney in late 2022. At Nurture Mind and Body he offers classical Chinese Tui Na massage, Cranial-Sacral treatments and training in the internal martial art Ba Gua Zhang.
Appointments with Thad blend massage techniques, cupping, and moxibustion to help you achieve your wellness goals, supported by internal martial arts exercises that Thad will expertly select and guide you through. Over a series of sessions you will build a sustainable practice that empowers you to integrate the changes made during your treatments and continue to power your progress on your own.
TUI NA
Traditional Tui Na shares the same Chinese Medicine principles as acupuncture, and is commonly referred to as "Medical Massage" for its ability to address organ function as well as musculoskeletal complaints. Tui Na is done fully clothed. In a session, the joints are mobilized and aligned, stagnations and obstructions leading to pain are cleared, the functions of the organs are harmonized, and the nervous system is down-regulated, providing a full rebalancing of body and mind.
CRANIAL-SACRAL
Cranio-Sacral Therapy is an Osteopathic technique in which gentle manipulation of the cranial bones and the “Cranial Rhythm” are used to balance and regulate the body. A Cranial-Sacral session with Thad also includes fascial unwinding, organ regulating and gentle guiding of your awareness to amplify the impact of the Cranial-Sacral work. This potent blend of gentle but powerful treatment modalities often initiates a process of opening and integration that continues to progress for weeks after the session.
BA GUA ZHANG
Ba Gua Zhang is a powerful and comprehensive internal
martial arts method. Being in the same family of practices as Qi Gong and Tai Chi, Ba Gua’s fundamental exercises are done with a slow softness and a focused awareness. Practicing Ba Gua Zhang can catalyse change in all facets of one's life: physical, mental and spiritual, so that both the inside and outside of a person are cultivated simultaneously.
